Bead Fest Flashback

Fall is getting closer by the day, and we’re in the midst of New York Fashion Week–you know what that means! We’re retiring our summer wardrobe, and embracing some of our favorite, fresh fall trends–including ’70s style!

If you keep up with the latest fashion trends, you may have noticed that different components of ’70s fashion are showing up on the top trend forecasting lists. Retro hats, plaid blazers, velvet details, heavy brocade florals and wide belts have been all over the runways, and it’s inspiring us to take a look back at some of the ’70s-born jewelry trends that will always be “in style” to us.

We’ve paired each trend with a fun and fashionable Bead Fest Tacoma workshop that will get you in the retro groove, and help you create gorgeous new jewelry!


’70s Style Icon: Cher 

In the ’70s, Cher dominated the fashion world with her vibrant, sparkly and unique ensembles. Many considered her a risk taker, and she often would sport larger-than-life jewelry in a range of bright hues.
