Spring/Summer Jewelry Trends

Spring is in full force and flowers aren’t the only thing blooming! Lately, we’ve noticed a lot of pretty jewelry trends hitting the scene—from vibrant gemstones to creative ring stacks—the current jewelry look is all about versatility, unique shapes and individuality!

We’ve noticed that a lot of minimalism trends have been put on pause, and bold statement pieces are taking over. This is a great time to consider using unique shapes and textures, along with mismatched metals. As always, have fun with trends and make them your own! After all, being yourself and flaunting your personal style is always IN.

In our trend boards below, each photo on the right represents a workshop at Bead Fest Philadelphia. That’s right–you can learn how to make the hottest trends and gain valuable skills in the process! Register for your workshop seats here.

We know that florals for spring might seem less than groundbreaking, but the 2017 version of this trend has received a metal-licious update that screams cool girl instead of granny chic. Although, if we’re being completely honest, we love the old-school take on this trend, too!

Clear crystals are a classic, but this spring and summer are begging for brighter stones. Rich shades of pink, purple and red create a feminine look, and they are sure to have you feeling like a fashionable queen. If you want to try the trend in a subtle way, Bead Fest can help you out! Create a single ring with a stacked look that features 3 vibrant jewel-tone gemstones.

The best way to describe this trend is funky, fresh and full of life! There is still a place in our hearts for the minimalism trends, but this season more is definitely more! So don’t be afraid to layer your materials, mix your metals and combine clashing beads and crystals for a look that’s all about you.

Add some movement and fringe-y fun to your jewelry wardrobe with playful tassels! We love mixing an unexpected material with metal jewelry for that one-of-a-kind twist, and as a bonus, it goes perfectly with this season’s pom pom sandal trend. We would love to see this trend with a flowy sun dress or a simple jeans and tee-shirt look!

Mixed media is one of our favorite forms of jewelry art, and we love the current trend of mixing wild beads with not-so-common fabrics to create a new look. This trend is all about expressing your individuality. Select beautiful beads in various shapes, patterns and colors. As long as they speak to you and inspire you, they are going to look fabulous!

Everyone loves a timeless ring stack, but the new take on this trend is quite effortless. This season, ring stacks are all about loading up on sharp shapes, intricate patterns and colorful beads and stones. Oh, and to make this trend even more wearable, you can mix your metals without second guessing it! We love mixing warm brassy tones with cool solvers. Also, this is the perfect trend to go for when you’re running out the door. Just throw on 3 or 4 of your favorite rings and you’re set!
