Bead Fest 2018, Philadelphia – See What’s New and Happening!

Bead Fest 2018 is returning with all the things you love and have come to expect. You’ll find an awesome expo filled with all the beading and jewelry supplies you can’t wait to add to your studio. There will be non-stop jewelry and beading demonstrations happening on the expo floor. And, there’s a great line-up of workshops for every skill level and interest. Kumihimo, the ancient art of Japanese braiding, continues to be a popular technique in the beading and jewelry world! Whether you want to try it for the first time or you’re ready to learn how to design your own patterns, you won’t want to miss these workshops. Bead artist Maggie Thompson will be here to offer beginner workshops (check out her Oh! Bead Kumi Bracelet and Silken Threads Kumihimo Bracelets above). Cindy Grayson, inventor of the Bead Runway™, will also be teaching classes designed to help students learn how to create their own kumihimo designs.   1. I attend the bead fest mainly to shop, I do enjoy the quick try something new make and take workshops, haven’t found them. Where are they hiding?
